“Hay una guerra para cada hombre". Tres experiencias de combate de oficiales subalternos del Regimiento de Infantería 25 del Ejército Argentino en la Guerra de Malvinas

Abstract

Solo algunos científicos sociales argentinos que investigan sobre la Guerra de Malvinas estudian las experiencias bélicas de los combatientes argentinos inscribiéndolas en las unidades militares en las que sirvieron durante la guerra. Este artículo tiene por objeto la participación de los oficiales subalternos del Regimiento de Infantería 25 del Ejército en tres escenarios de guerra: la Operación Rosario, el Aeropuerto de Puerto Argentino y San Carlos-Darwin-Pradera del Ganso. Sostengo que es preciso comprender esas experiencias en relación con la instrucción y el adiestramiento adquirido en tiempo de paz, el emplazamiento de la unidad o de sus elementos en el teatro de operaciones, la jerarquía militar y rol de combate de cada individuo y los vínculos entre el jefe, oficiales, suboficiales y soldados antes y durante la guerra.

Only a few Argentine social scientists who research the Malvinas War study the war experiences of Argentine fighters by enrolling them in the military units in which they served during the war. This article aims at the participation of junior officers of the 25th Army Infantry Regiment in three war scenarios: Operation Rosario, the Airport of Puerto Argentino and San Carlos-Darwin-Pradera del Ganso. I maintain that these experiences need to be understood in relation to peacetime instruction and training, the placement of the unit or its elements in theatre, the military hierarchy and combat role of each individual and the links between the chief, officers, non-commissioned officers and soldiers before and during the war.
