Ficción, periodismo y resistencia: Julio Cortázar y el proyecto editorial Sin Censura

Abstract

Mediante una lectura desde el archivo, el presente artículo busca recuperar la problemática imbricación entre política y ficción en la escritura de Julio Cortázar a partir de la experiencia de edición clandestina del periódico Sin censura (1979-1980) y del trabajo con dos de sus relatos ficcionales censurados por la dictadura militar argentina, "Graffiti" y "Recortes de prensa" (Queremos tanto a Glenda, 1980). La hipótesis es que, en el contexto de la represión por parte del terrorismo de Estado, Cortázar se ubica en una posición singular, no capturable por el compromiso con la razón política ni por la exigencia de libertad estética, mediante una práctica intelectual que abre una línea de fuga y pone a circular la escritura en el surco inapresable entre arte y política, sin confundirse con esta ni aquella a la vez que comunicándolas por un tercer espacio.

Through a reading from the archival, this article seeks to recover the problematic overlap between politics and fiction in the writing of Julio Cortázar based on the experience of clandestine editing of the newspaper Sin censura (1979-1980) and on the work with two of his fictional short stories censored by the Argentine military dictatorship, “Graffiti” and “Recortes de prensa” (Queremos tanto a Glenda, 1980). The hypothesis is that, in the context of repression by state terrorism, Cortázar is located in a unique position, not captivable by the commitment to political reason or by the demand for aesthetic freedom, through an intellectual practice that opens a line of flight and circulates the writing in the inexpressible groove between art and politics, without being confused with this or that while communicating them through an interstitial space.
