Hacia la conformación de un corpus de la variedad patagónica del español: el caso de Mujeres y dictadura en Río Negro

Abstract

En estas páginas presentamos los resultados de cuatro años de trabajo ininterrumpido en larecolección de entrevistas a mujeres que vivieron la última dictadura militar en Río Negro(Argentina) y que conforman un valioso corpus de indagación para el estudio de la variedadpatagónica del español. Para ello, repasamos los fundamentos teóricos en los que se basa elinterés por contar con corpus de datos genuinos para la investigación lingüística, en general,y para el estudio de la relación entre las selecciones lingüísticas y el contexto, en particular.Asimismo, consideramos los aportes que este corpus puede realizar al ámbito de losestudios del perfil sociolingüístico de la variedad patagónica del español. Entre otrosaportes, reconocemos una contribución especial en el hecho de que se trata de un cuerpo dedatos accesible para los/as investigadores/as que estén interesados/as en el estudio empíricode dicha variedad. Por último, ofrecemos una descripción técnica detallada del corpus apartir de la clasificación ofrecida por Torruella y Llisterri (1999) y de los aportesconceptuales de Flowerdew (2004), Koester (2010) y O’Keeffe (2007).

In these pages we present the results of four years of uninterrupted work in the collection of interviews done to women who lived in Río Negro (Argentina) during the last military dictatorship. They make up a valuable corpus for the study of the Patagonian variety of Spanish. To do this, we review the theoretical foundations on which the interest in having a corpus of genuine data for linguistic research is based, in general, and for the study of the relationship between linguistic selections and context, in particular. Likewise, we consider the contributions that this corpus can make to the field of studies of the sociolinguistic profile of the Patagonian variety of Spanish. Among others, we recognize a special contribution in the fact that it is a open access data corpus available to researchers who are interested in the empirical study of this variety. Finally, we offer a detailed technical description of the corpus based on the classification offered by Torruella and Llisterri (1999) and the conceptual contributions of Flowerdew (2004), Koester (2010) and O’Keeffe (2007).
