Aproximación etnográfica a un taller de danza

Abstract

En el presente artículo forma parte de un trabajo final de metodología cualitativa (en el marco de mi cursado en el Doctorado en Ciencias Sociales de la UNVM) en el cual realizo una aproximación etnográfica al taller “Danza al Frente”, el cual es el objeto de estudio de mi tesis doctoral. En este sentido, en primera instancia fundamentaré teóricamente cuál es mi posición acerca del abordaje etnográfico para luego poder ponerlo en diálogo con las anotaciones del trabajo de campo que realicé desde febrero de 2015 (momento de inicio del taller) a noviembre 2018 (cierre del taller) y con las descripciones del espacio y del barrio donde se desarrolló. De esta manera, abordaré también la metodología de trabajo grupal y creación colectiva. Algunas de las preguntas que guiaron mi trabajo en el campo fueron ¿participan los niños, niñas y adolescentes en el taller? ¿Cómo? ¿Cuál es la utilización del espacio (salón)? ¿Quiénes participan? ¿Qué disfrutan más bailar? ¿Cómo se organiza la clase? En este marco, abordo una conclusión que tiene que ver con la importancia de comunicar cómo se trabaja desde los espacios de creación colectiva y el papel de las ciencias sociales en este sentido

This article is part of a final qualitative methodology work (within the framework of my doctorate in Social Sciences) in which I carry out an ethnographic approach to the workshop "Danza al Frente", which is the object of study of my doctoral thesis. In this sense, it is the first instance that I will theoretically base my position on the ethnographic approach and then be able to put it in dialogue with the annotations of the field work that I carried out from February 2015 (the beginning of the workshop) to November 2018 (closing of the workshop) and with the descriptions of the space where the workshop takes place and the neighborhood in which it is registered. In this way, I will also address the methodology of group work and collective creation. Some of the questions that guided my work in the field were, do children and adolescents participate in the workshop? How? What is the use of the space (room)? Who participates? What do they enjoy dancing the most? How is the class organized? In this framework, I address a conclusion that has to do with the importance of communicating how to work from spaces of collective creation and the role of social sciences in this regard.
