Fijman inédito editado en España y en la Argentina

Abstract

De los muchos textos inéditos desperdigados de Jacobo Fijman (1889-1970), tomamos en esta ocasión dos recopilaciones de ellos: una hecha en España, Ocho poemas manuscritos (2014); y otra hecha en la Argentina, Metapoemas (2015). Por una parte, estas publicaciones dan cuenta tanto de cierto conocimiento, como, sobre todo, del reconocimiento valorativo de nuestro autor de un lado y otro del Atlántico. Por otra, sus textos manifiestan el encuentro de, por lo menos, dos culturas dentro de sí mismo: es europeo inmigrante en la Argentina, es judío de nacimiento converso al catolicismo, padeció alteraciones psíquicas que lo llevaron a estar hospitalizado y fue dueño de una mente lúcida como pocas; los testimonios más autorizados al respecto pertenecen a Vicente Zito Lema y a Juan-Jacobo Bajarlía. La publicación de su obra, tanto la que él dio a prensa cuanto la inédita, en ambas orillas del Atlántico se toca con una condición constitutiva de Fijman, la de ser un fronterizo. Por lo mismo, es el principal exponente de lo que dimos en llamar «violencia de la frontera», categoría y modelo teórico que nos permite reunir a varios autores en su disparidad, como Miguel Ángel Bustos y Héctor Viel Temperley, por ejemplo. Of the many unpublished texts scattered by Jacobo Fijman (1889-1970), on this occasion we take two compilations of them: one made in Spain, Ocho poemas manuscritos(2014); and another made in Argentina, Metapoemas (2015). On the one hand, these publications show both certain knowledge and, above all, the appreciative recognition of our author from one side of the Atlantic to the other. On the other hand, his texts show the encounter of at least two cultures within himself: he is a European immigrant in Argentina, he is a Jew by birth converted to Catholicism, he suffered from mental disorders that led him to be hospitalized and he owned one lucid mind like few others; the most authoritative testimonies in this regard belong to Vicente Zito Lema and Juan-Jacobo Bajarlía. The publication of his work, both the one he gave to the press and the unpublished one -scattered, or not-, on both sides of the Atlantic relates to a constitutive condition of Fijman, that of being a frontier. For this reason, it is the main exponent of what we called “border violence”, a category and theoretical model that allows us to bring together various authors in their disparity, such as Miguel Ángel Bustos and Héctor Viel Temperley, for example. The non-fixity and the disruptive, in various orders, are revealed as keysto his poetics of traces, which we question here.
