El contexto como texto en la sesión: Intervenciones psicoanalíticas y subjetividad social

Abstract

La teoría y técnica psicoanalíticas fueron produciendo un “adentro” y un “afuera” de la sesión, donde el rol de las pertenencias socioculturales de paciente y terapeuta (subjetividad social) quedó relativamente excluido de ser entendido y trabajado en el tratamiento. Este estudio evaluó la presencia de aspectos específicos de subjetividad social en el discurso paciente-terapeuta, y su vínculo con las intervenciones clínicas, comparando sesiones de procesos psicoanalíticos de Argentina y Estados Unidos. El diseño metodológico fue exploratorio-descriptivo, con análisis cuali-cuantitativos. La muestra fue de 40 sesiones (20 por país). Se utilizaron como materiales una clasificación de categorías de subjetividad social desarrollada específicamente y la Clasificación Multidimensional de Intervenciones Psicoterapéuticas. Los resultados muestran que la subjetividad social fue aludida con intervenciones específicas psicoanalíticas, en ambos grupos, con mayor uso de confrontaciones y señalamientos en los analistas argentinos. También evidencian que los aspectos históricamente adscriptos al contexto de la sesión fueron registrados en el texto de esta. Se discuten las implicancias para la investigación, la práctica y la formación clínica en psicoanálisis.

The psychoanalytic theory and technique produced an "inside" and an "outside" of the session, where the role of the patient's and therapist's socio-cultural belongings (social subjectivity) were relatively excluded from being understood and worked on in the treatment. This study evaluated the presence of specific aspects of social subjectivity in the patient-therapist discourse, and its link with clinical interventions, comparing sessions of psychoanalytic processes in Argentina and the United States. The methodological design was exploratory-descriptive, with quali-quantitative analyses. The sample was 40 sessions (20 for each country). A specifically developed classification of categories of social subjectivity and the Multidimensional Classification of Psychotherapeutic Interventions were used as materials. The results show that social subjectivity was alluded to with specific psychoanalytic interventions in both groups, with greater use of confrontations and signaling in Argentinean analysts. They also show that the aspects historically ascribed to the context of the session were recorded in the text of the session. Implications for research, practice and clinical training in psychoanalysis are discussed.
