Lectotypification of names linked to Galianthe (Rubiaceae) for the Argentine flora

Abstract

Durante la preparación del tratamiento taxonómico del género Galianthe para la Flora Argentina, se hallaron varios nombres cuya tipificación debió ser resuelta. Por este motivo, 11 lectotipos son designados, con el propósito de contribuir con el esclarecimiento nomenclatural de estos nombres. Por otro lado, se presentan comentarios acerca de la distribución y hábitat de las especies de Galianthe en la Argentina.

During the preparation of the taxonomic treatment of the genus Galianthe for the Flora of Argentina, several names were found in need of typification. For this reason, 11 lectotypes are designated here, hence contributing to the nomenclatural clarification of these names. Additionally, we provide comments about the distribution and habitat of Galianthe species in Argentina.
