Explotación, conservación y sostenibilidad forestal en las ordenanzas locales de la Corona de Castilla (siglos XV-XVI)

Abstract

En este trabajo nos proponemos analizar la gestión de los aprovechamientos forestales castellanos a partir del estudio de las numerosas ordenanzas que elaboran los poderes locales bajomedievales. Las tensiones entre las distintas modalidades de explotación y el cuidado de los recursos que describen los ordenamientos orientan la reflexión hacia el significado que asume la noción de conservación forestal y con ella, hacia los diversos intereses implicados tanto en los usos como en las limitaciones que se le imponen.

In this paper we propose to analyze the forest management in Castile from the study of the numerous ordinances elaborated by the late medieval local authorities. The contradictions between the different forms of exploitation and the care of the resources shown in the regulations guide the reflection towards the meaning assumed by the notion of forest conservation and with it, towards the diverse interests involved in the uses and their restrictions.
