El teatro y la Guerra de Malvinas: Un mirador para las representaciones de la historia

Abstract

La Guerra de Malvinas (2 de abril – 14 de junio de 1982) es un acontecimiento histórico fuertemente imaginado. Se trata sin duda de un suceso que, a pesar de su corta duración de 74 días, ha propiciado un complejo entramado de imaginarios e interpretaciones que aún al día de la fecha forman parte de cómo pensamos no solo la historia reciente sino también las identidades que la posguerra y la posdictadura han articulado (y continúan articulando hoy). A pesar de esto, y si bien mucho se ha escrito en torno a su impacto social y político, el aspecto cultural de la guerra muchas veces es dejado de lado ante el fuerte peso que se otorga a los otros ángulos mencionados. La guerra se construye como un acontecimiento histórico (Badiou 2015) en tanto establece un campo simbólico que, aunque existía ya antes del combate, queda reconfigurado de una forma novedosa luego del 14 de junio. En el presente trabajo me gustaría explorar algunas de las cuestiones vinculadas a cómo el teatro ha pensado esos imaginarios y a cómo, desde sus características singulares, produce formas de pensamiento y de goce estético que permiten abrir nuevos sentidos en el campo simbólico de la Guerra de Malvinas.

The Malvinas War (2 April – 14 June 1982) is a strongly imagined historical event. It is undoubtedly an event that, despite its short duration of 74 days, has led to a complex network of imaginaries and interpretations that even to this day are part of how we think not only of recent history but also of the identities that the post-war and post-dictatorship have articulated (and continue to articulate today). Despite this, and although much has been written about its social and political impact, the cultural aspect of the war is often set aside in the face of the strong weight given to the other angles mentioned. The war is constructed as a historical event (Badiou 2015) in that it establishes a symbolic field that, although it already existed before the combat, is reconfigured in a novel way after June 14. In this work I would like to explore some of the issues linked to how theater has thought about these imaginaries and how, from its unique characteristics, it produces forms of thought and aesthetic enjoyment that allow opening new meanings in the symbolic field of the Malvinas War.
