"Amigo enemigo", de Antonio Di Benedetto: Una relectura de "El flautista de Hamelín"

Abstract

El presente artículo analiza el cuento “Amigo enemigo”, de Antonio Di Benedetto y su puesta en su diálogo con la fábula alemana “El flautista de Hamelín”. Mediante un recorrido que atiende al rastreo de los vínculos intertextuales —el poema homónimo de Robert Browning, La cruzada de los niños de Marcel Schwob, el prólogo a Artificios de Jorge Luis Borges y El concepto de lo político de Carl Schmitt— y al contraste entre las modificaciones de las ediciones del 1953 y del 1971, se puntualizan los aspectos del texto que tematizan el proceso mismo de creación y el vínculo conflictivo entre el artista y su obra. Dichos aspectos parten de una sintaxis estrechamente vinculada a lo fónico y al diálogo intertextual que propone lazos hacia otros autores y otras obras centrales dentro de la configuración artística del autor.

This paper analyses the short story “Amigo enemigo”, by Antonio Di Benedetto and its setting its dialogue with the German fable “Pied Piper of Hamelin”. Through an itinerary that attends to the tracing of intertextual links—the homonymous poem by Robert Browning, La cruzada de los niños by Marcel Schwob, the prologue to Artifices by Jorge Luis Borges and Concept of the political by Carl Schmitt—and the contrast between the modifications of the 1953 and 1971 editions, this article reviews the aspects of the text that thematize the process of creation and the conflictive link between the artist and his work. These aspects are based on a syntax closely linked to the phonic and to the intertextual dialogue that proposes links to other authors and other central works within the artistic configuration of the author.
