La persona humana. El aporte de Juan Duns Escoto

Abstract

El trabajo tiene como propósito analizar la noción de persona en Duns Escoto, para poder comprender cuál es la novedad que añade esta categoría a la noción aristotélica de sustancia, y si ello aporta algo efectivamente diferente al pensamiento filosófico y al filosofar. En este sentido, podemos afirmar que, en su intento de superar la visión naturalista boeciana, el filósofo que revoluciona el concepto de persona fue Ricardo de San Víctor, y es Duns Escoto en el siglo XIII quien va sistematizar la reflexión al respecto.

The purpose of this work is to analyze the notion of person in Duns Scotus, in order to understand what is the novelty that adds this category to the Aristotelian substance, and if it contributes in something to philosophical thinking. In this sense, we can affirm that, in his attempt to overcome the Boecian naturalist vision, the philosopher who revolutionizes the concept of person was Ricardo de San Víctor, and it is Duns Escoto in the thirteenth century who systematizes the reflection on the matter.
