dc.description.abstract
We argue that recent conclusions about a doubly anharmonic oscillator appear to be wrong. The radial eigenvalue equation is conditionally solvable and the authors derived some analytical eigenvalues for states with polynomial solutions. The allowed discrete values of the cyclotron frequency or intensity of the uniform magnetic field are an artefact of the approach used to obtain such particular solutions. There are bound states when the angular velocity of the rotating reference frame is null, contrary to what the authors claimed.
