Resumen
A little more than four decades have passed since the creation of Sociedad Argentina de Investigación en Quı́mica Orgánica (SAIQO), an organization that has come to unify the field of organic chemistry in our country. One thing we can be sure about is that, as the founding members expected, the Society has become a shared space where chemists and related professionals can have open and free discussions, expand their networks, and collaborate to share their common interests. Through this space, SAIQO has contributed to the development and communication of science across all areas of organic chemistry, not only domestically but also between neighboring countries in South America. Helping in this mission, ACS journals such as The Journal of Organic Chemistry, Organic Letters, and ACS Omega have been an ideal channel to communicate the latest and impactful results of the Society’s members, reaching a large segment of the research community to help understand and pursue cutting-edge challenges in the field and their potential solutions...
