El "sol del 24 de marzo", un nuevo amanecer para la República: La revista Rumbo Social, los democristianos antiperonistas y los inicios del Proceso de Reorganización Nacional (1976-1978)

Abstract

Este artículo se presenta como un aporte a la reconstrucción de la trama de apoyos civiles que convocó el golpe de Estado del 24 de marzo de 1976. Analiza, en concreto, al grupo de dirigentes, académicos y periodistas que poco después del golpe comenzó a editar la revista Rumbo Social y que, desde sus páginas, no sólo dio la bienvenida al nuevo gobierno, sino que vislumbró en la coyuntura de 1976 la oportunidad para poner en marcha una transformación radical de la sociedad argentina. El abordaje pondera sus trayectorias en espacios de sociabilidad católica, identifica el lugar que le otorgaron a los valores religiosos y a la jerarquía eclesiástica en la nueva coyuntura y analiza sus representaciones sobre el golpe, la democracia y la sociedad a la luz de una identidad fuertemente antiperonista

This article is a contribution to the reconstruction of the civil support plot that summoned the coup d'état of March 24th, 1976. It analyzes, in particular, the group of leaders, academics and journalists who, shortly after the coup, began to edit Rumbo Social magazine, which, from its pages, not only welcomed the new government, but also glimpsed at the juncture of 1976 the opportunity to launch a radical transformation of Argentine society. The approach weighs their trajectories in spaces of catholic sociability, identifies the place they gave to religious values and the ecclesiastical hierarchy in the new situation and analyzes their representations about the coup, the democracy and the society in light of a strongly anti-peronist identity.
