Los chicos suenan y sienten: Afectividad y modelos de masculinidad en el cuarteto de Chébere

Abstract

Hacia mediados de los años 70 se formó una banda que produjo importantes modificaciones en el campo del cuarteto cordobés (R. Argentina), introduciendo nuevas sonoridades y narrativas. En este trabajo analizamos un corpus compuesto por las 249 canciones que Chébere produjo entre 1976 y 1991, rastreando las recurrencias en los dispositivos de enunciación. Lo hacemos con especial foco en la relación entre las narraciones que ofrecen esas canciones sobre los sentimientos -y las emociones que los constituyen-, y la dimensión afectiva de los dispositivos sonoros en los que se insertan. A partir de allí, observamos que Chébere construyó al menos dos modelos de enunciador que convivieron en tensión permanente: un varón sensible y afectado por la pasión amorosa, y otro orgulloso e indiferente ante el desamor de la mujer. Y en ese gesto introdujo, en el campo del cuarteto, nuevas axiologías afectivas y nuevos modelos de masculinidad.

In the middle 70s a new cuarteto band was foundedand brought important changes into the cuarteto cordobés fieldby introducing new sonorities and narratives on it. In this workwe analyze a corpus composed of 249 songs that were producedby Chébere between 1976 and 1991, searching for recurrences intheir enunciation devices. We put a special focus on the relationshipbetween the narratives about feelings -and the implied emotions-offered by those songs, and the affective dimension of the sonorousdevices in which they take part. From that starting point, we cansee that Chebere has built, at least, two models of enunciators thathave lived together in permanent tension: a sensitive male who isaffected by the passion of love, on one hand; and a prideful malewho shows indifferent to a heartbreak, on the other. With thatgesture, Chébere has introduced new affective axiologies and newmasculinity models in the cuarteto field.
