Places, companies, archives: in search of Argentina’s industrial heritage

Abstract

Under the slogan: «Don´t throw them away, don´t destroy them, and don’t forget them. Your archives are your history», in January 2021, and based on the proposal of the Williams Foundation and the Bunge y Born Foundation , the task of building a Network of Business Archives began. A network that will not only include the archives of private companies but, on the contrary, will allow access to places, companies, and archives as a way of highlighting and revaluing Argentina´s industrial and business past. The purpose of this presentation is to share how the task of planning, setting up and articulating the network of business archives in Argentina was carried out and its current status.
