dc.description.abstract
dc.description.abstract
The present article seeks to extend the schema of the homo oeconomicus "entrepreneur of himself" cleared by Michel Foucault when studying the theory of Human Capital of the Chicago school. To this end, first, we propose to include the neoliberal reflexive principle of competition to the notion of "enterprise form" formulated by Foucault in addressing German Ordoliberalism. Second, we consider that, from the twentieth century to the present, the most appropriate behaviours to beat competitors were defined by management and not by economics. In this way, we seek to delimit a type of subject shaped by the enterprise form, but who does not necessarily think of himself from the economic point of view of profit, but rather from the point of view of managerial competitiveness. Arguing the behavioural scheme of an individual "strategist of the self", entrepreneur and "marketer", who seeks to become strong and audacious to defeat the other, is convenient to make contemporary sociological studies on neoliberalism and subjectivity more complex.
