Consejeros del príncipe: Intelectuales y populismo en la Argentina de hoy

Abstract

Este artículo abordará la relación entre intelectuales públicos y política en la Argentina durante las gestiones de Néstor Kirchner y Cristina Fernández de Kirchner tomando en cuenta principalmente a Ernesto Laclau, por una parte, y al grupo de intelectuales Carta Abierta, por otra. Tanto Ernesto Laclau como el núcleo de Carta Abierta mantuvieron intensos vínculos con ambos presidentes así como una vigorosa participación expresada en debates, presencia en los medios y declaraciones. Esta participación, así como los vínculos con los presidentes, que se intensificaron a partir del conflicto entre el gobierno nacional y los sectores agropecuarios en 2008, fueron intensa y directamente políticos, puesto que se proponían incidir en la configuración político cultural argentina y en las decisiones de actores políticos comenzando por los propios presidentes.

In this article we will address the relationship between public intellectuals and Argentinean politics during the mandates of Néstor Kirchner and Cristina Fernández de Kirchner taking mainly into account Ernesto Laclau, on the one hand, and the group of intellectuals Carta Abierta, on the other hand. Both Ernesto Laclau and Carta Abierta group maintained intense links with both presidents as well as a strong participation showed in debates, presence on the media and statements. This participation, as well as links with presidents, that were intensified after the conflict between the national government and the agricultural and livestock sectors in 2008, were intensively and directly political, since they intended to have a bearing on the Argentinean political-cultural composition and on the decisions of political actors, starting by the presidents themselves.
