Pensando el trabajo a través de Aristóteles

Abstract

Con el fin de responder a la pregunta sobre el lugar que ocupa el trabajo dentro de las concepciones aristotélicas, este artículo investigará sus definiciones y funciones. En ese sentido, será necesario ubicar, primeramente, a la categoría trabajo dentro de los tres géneros de actividades que Aristóteles plantea (es decir, teoría, praxis y poiesis, las cuales remitirán a la diferencia entre kínesis y energeia), así como en sus relaciones con el pensamiento político-económico que este pensador ha legado. Asimismo, se habrá de indagar en la naturaleza del nexo entre el hombre y la phýsis, a través del trabajo, para poder pensar la vinculación con el tiempo y con la posibilidad de una vida feliz.

In order to answer the question about the place that occupies the work inside the aristotelian conceptions, this paper will investigate its definitions and functions. In this sense, it will be necessary to locate, firstly, the category of work inside the three genres of activities that Aristotle raises (it is to say, theory, praxis and poiesis, which will command us to think about the difference between kínesis and energeia), as well as in its relations with the political-economic thought that this thinker has bequeathed. Likewise, we will investigate the nature of the link between mankind and the phýsis, through the work, to be able to think the entail with the time and with the possibility of a happy life.
