Euphorbiaceae en el banco de semillas del suelo de zonas serranas (Córdoba, Argentina) afectadas por incendios

Abstract

Estudo forístico realizado de 2008 a 2011, em áreas de Sierras Chicas (Córdoba, Argentina) afetadas por incêndios, colocam asEuphorbiaceaeem quarto lugar em diversidade de espécies. Esta família está representada na área de estudo por 18 táxons, pertencentes aos gêneros Acalypha L., Bernardia Houst. ex Mill., Chiropetalum A. Juss., Croton L., Euphorbia L., Sebastiania Spreng. y Tragia L. Este estudo tem como objetivo conhecer os táxons, caracterizar a morfologia externa das sementes e facilitar sua identifcação no banco de sementes do solo mediante chave dicotômica. Os caracteres relevantes para a identifcação e elaboração da chave são: presença de carúnculo, formas, dimensões e superfcie das sementes. São apresentados também descrições e ilustrações dos táxons.

A foristic study performed from 2008 to 2011 in areas of Sierras Chicas(Córdoba, Argentina) affected by fre, ranks the Euphorbiaceae fourth in species diversity. This family is represented in the studied area by 18 taxa, which belong to the genera Acalypha L.,Bernardia Houst.ex Mill., Chiropetalum A. Juss.,Croton L., Euphorbia L., Sebastiania Spreng. and TragiaL. The purpose of this study was to understand the taxa, characterizethe external morphology of the seeds, and facilitate their identifcation in the soil-seed bankby using a dichotomous key. The relevant characters to identify and to elaborate the keyare: the presence of a caruncle, shapes, size, and surface of the seeds. Descriptions andillustrations of the taxa are also presented.
