Sociabilidades homosexuales puestas en perspectiva: Una mirada sobre el desarrollo de los modos de ser y hacer gay

Abstract

Las últimas tres décadas han estado acompañadas por transformaciones de diversa índole. Cambios socioculturales, económicos y políticos acontecidos en el mundo en los últimos treinta años, repercutieron de modo diferente en la sociedad civil. La relación y el efecto de estos fenómenos sobre un particular grupo de la sociedad Argentina es el tema que nos reúne. Partiendo de un abordaje transgeneracional, este artículo analiza rupturas y persistencias en los códigos de sociabilidad del colectivo gay argentino. A tal fin se indagan las representaciones sociales que las personas mayores y jóvenes varones homosexuales poseen sobre su grupo, lo que brindará herramientas para comprender diferentes sucesos ocurridos en el interior de esta comunidad, su desarrollo a través del tiempo y su relación con fenómenos de mayor magnitud que trascienden a este colectivo. Mediante el uso de técnicas cualitativas como las entrevistas en profundidad e historias de vida se procuró estudiar comparativamente la narrativa y el curso de vida de los actores en la historia reciente de nuestro país.

The last three decades have been accompanied by transformations of different kinds. In the last thirty years they have taken place a series of changes of socio-cultural, economic, and political type that have impacted differently in civil society. This article is about the relation and the effects of these phenomenons on a particular group of Argentine society. From a transgenerational approach, this article analyzes the ruptures and the continuities in the codes of sociability of collective gay argentine. To this purpose we examine the social representations that old and young homosexual men have about them as a group. That will bring us tools to understand different events that happened in the interior of this community, their development through time and their relation with other phenomena that transcend this collective. Using qualitative techniques such as indepth interview and life history, we study comparatively the narrative and the lifetime of the actors in the recent history of our country.
