Configuraciones sociales y teoría social

Abstract

En este artículo se revisan las condiciones de emergencia de las ciencias sociales, fundamentalmente en uno de sus supuestos que es la existen-cia organizadora y delimitadora de los estados-nación. A partir de esta impronta, y dadas las transformaciones que han operado en particular desde el último tercio del siglo pasado, que han tenido como efecto el desplazamiento del estado del centro de la organización del orden so-cial, se argumenta sobre la necesidad de dar un nuevo marco a la teoría social. Para ello se hacen breves referencias a las indicaciones que ya existen en tal sentido, y se postula, finalmente, la necesidad de revisar el cuerpo teórico elaborado por Marx y Engels, por ser un instrumento dúctil para el escenario del siglo XXI.

This article reviews the conditions of emergent of the social sciences; primary in one of its assumptions is the existent organizer and anchor of nation-states. From this mark, and given the changes that have occurred in particular in the last third of the last century that have had the effect of moving the state from the center of social organization, it is argued on the need for a new framework of social theory. This will make brief reference to the indications already exist in this regard, and it is postulated, finally, the need to review the body of theory developed by Marx and Engels, as a supple instrument for the stage of the XXI century.
