De hermanitas perdidas a islotes insalubres: algunas representaciones argentinas de Malvinas

Abstract

Como sostuvo Foucault, las guerras modernas ya no se realizan en defensa del soberano sino en nombre de la existencia del grupo. Es por eso que provocan tanto exacerbaciones del nacionalismo como debates en los que se actualizan y revisan las tradiciones y se sopesa el valor de la nación con el de la vida del individuo que pertenece a ella. En este trabajo, se analizan algunos de estos debates para el caso particular de la guerra de Malvinas (1982), así como también el modo en que repercutieron en los soldados cuyas vidas estaban en juego, a partir de la lectura de relatos testimoniales.

Modern wars are not performed now defending the sovereign, but in the name of the group existence, as Foucault sustained. That´s why wars cause many nationalism excesses and debates through which traditions are updated and reviewed and the Nation´s values and its member´s life values are weigh up. In this paper some of these debates are analyzed through the particular case of Malvinas War (1982), same as the way they have affected the soldiers which lives were involved, from the reading of testimonial tales.
