Hiding and seeking: Límites y potencialidades de la escena local como categoría analítica

Abstract

Desde hace un tiempo que trabajamos con las escenas locales de Argentina y Chile y en este tiempo hemos reflexionado sobre sus modos de funcionamiento tanto en la producción artística y discursiva, como en las relaciones entre sí y con los sistemas de arte dominantes. Es por ello que, en este ensayo, nos centramos en las implicancias del término: en aquello que en él se esconde y en sus potencialidades efectivas.

For some time now, we have been working with local scenes of Argentina and Chile and we have thought about the diferent ways these scenes carry out in both artistic and discursive productions. As well as the relations among themselves and with the dominant art systems. Tis is why, in the present essay, we focus on the implications of the term: in what is hidden within it and its efective potential.
