Aproximaciones en torno al proceso de surgimiento y estructuración del fútbol en la ciudad de Córdoba (1890-1920)

Abstract

El presente artículo aborda brevemente el proceso de surgimiento y estructuración de la práctica futbolística y asociativa ligada a ella en la ciudad de Córdoba hacia finales del siglo XIX y principios del XX. Este proceso transformó su espacio social y modificó, entre otras cosas, el uso del tiempo libre y el ocio de la población, sus formas de asociarse, sus espacios de sociabilidad y sus lazos identitarios. En general, la práctica se vertebró en torno a la organización de clubes, construcciones colectivas de carácter voluntario e igualitario que se configuraron como medios de expresión y generación de identidades en una sociedad en plena movilidad. Los clubes representaron diferentes procedencias y, a partir de los lazos de sociabilidad que fueron forjando en el circuito asociativo, cumplieron un importante papel en la reafirmación de los sentidos de pertenencia de los sujetos.

The present article approaches briefly the process of emergence and structuring of the football and its associative practice in the city of Córdoba between the end of XIX century and the beginning of the XX century. This process transformed its social space and modified, among other things, the use of free time and the leisure of the population, their ways of associating, their spaces of sociability and their identity ties. In general, the practice was structured on the organization of clubs, collective constructions of voluntary character and with the equal participation between their members that were formed as means of expression and generation of identities in a society in change. The clubs represented different origins and, from the sociability ties that were forged in the associative circuit, played an important role in reaffirming the sense of belonging of the subjects.
