¿Es etnografía?: Un análisis metodológico del trabajo propio

Abstract

En este trabajo analizo un texto de mi autoría donde efectúo una descripción etnográfica de mi objeto de investigación, con el propósito de reflexionar acerca de esa escritura y del trabajo de campo que la sustenta. Con este objetivo, tras reproducir ese texto, ordeno el artículo en tres secciones analíticas. En la primera indago las características del trabajo de campo que posibilitó el escrito, y la incidencia que la teoría y el sentido común tuvieron sobre él. Seguidamente analizo los logros y dificultades acaecidos en mi acercamiento a la perspectiva del actor. La tercera sección focaliza en mi experiencia de campo y su impacto en mi investigación, texto y persona, así como en el campo mismo. Para culminar, ofrezco reflexiones generales acerca del texto analizado y efectúo algunos señalamientos de los retos a superar en las siguientes etapas de mi investigación, a los que detecté tras este ejercicio reflexivo.

In this work I analyze a text of my authorship where I yearned to shape an ethnographic description of my object of investigation in order to reflect on that writing and the fieldwork which sustains it. With this objective, after reproducing that text, I order the article in three analytical sections. In the first I investigate the characteristics of the fieldwork that has made possible that writing and the incidence that theory and common sense had in it. After this I analyze the achievements and difficulties happened in my approach to the perspective of the actor. The third section focuses on my field experience and its impact on my investigation, text and person, as well as on the same field. To conclude, I offer general reflections on the analyzed text and bring challenges to be overcome in the next stages of my research that I detected after this reflexive exercise.
