La promoción de la salud entre los jóvenes

Abstract

Se presenta el marco conceptual de las investigaciones sobre promoción de la salud en sentido amplio. Se focaliza el tema en la juventud como etapa vital, teniendo en cuenta que la concepción de lo sano y de los modos de preservar la salud surgen de la construcción grupal. A través de diferentes espejos identitarios se puede acceder a los significados de la salud y de su cuidado que los jóvenes que participan en ellos tienen y eventualmente a la posibilidad de modificarlos.

A conceptual framework of research on health promotion in the broad sense is presented. It is the model that the team I lead has been developing in recent years. We focus on the theme of youth as a life stage, considering the importance for future public health of the fact that young people take healt care into account. With this purpose it should be considered that the conception of health and the ways to preserve it arise from group construction. This process will be encouraged by the facilitation of personal narratives, the taking and exhibition of photos, the musical youth expressions (as performers and fans), the dialogic spaces in schools or in other areas of socialization, the mass musical encounters which generate a sense of community, the participatory sports, etc.; through those identitarian mirrors we can access to the meaning of health care the young people involved in them have and to their modification if necessary.
