Embarazo y el COVID: construcción de un Puente Comunicacional Virtual

Abstract

El objetivo de este trabajo es presentar el quehacer del psicólogo perinatal en el contexto de pandemia. Surge la necesidad de adaptación a los cambios que modifican desde los modos de circulación hasta nuestras prácticas. La creación de un dispositivo denominado Puente Comunicación Virtual (PVC) en tanto modelo de contención y acompañamiento para trabajar con embarazadas y mujeres puérperas de una manera no presencial, propicia un canal de comunicación virtual, en tanto dispositivo psicológico que permite seguir trabajando a los psicólogos perinatales en este contexto de pandemia. En el marco de dicho objetivo, se sistematizaron las entrevistas realizadas en cuatro lugares de diferentes regiones de nuestro país, en la que se confeccionaron una serie de preguntas relacionadas con el Covid 19 y el embarazo durante el 2020 y el inicio del 2021.

At this exceptional moment of the pandemic, a device was designed: “Virtual Communication Bridge”, a strategy that allowed us to continue working with postpartum mothers and their babies in a non-face-to-face way, thus maintaining the patient-therapist-perinatal relationship. The objective was to recognize and identify, based on this instrument, in the experiences, behaviors and interactions reported by pregnant or postpartum women those variables that show how they felt affected. Semi-structured interviews were conducted with open responses from which the information was obtained. They were administered to 48 pregnant or postpartum women from different Argentine provinces. Using the Atlas.Ti program, the responses given by the interviewees were coded, thus allowing us to define those that were most used. Categories and code families were defined that indicated how they felt affected or if they were not affected by the pandemic situation. From the analysis of these data, it could be pointed out that the pandemic and isolation affected them, above all, in the controls and preparatory courses for childbirth, which were generally suspended and from an emotional point of view, isolation and not being able to share time of their lives with family, also affected them.
