Contingency, shape and justice: Notes on a problem of thought contemporáneo político

Abstract

El artículo trabaja algunas de las paradojas ante las que se encuentra el pensamiento político contemporáneo. Desde una contextualización indicada con los términos «retorno» y «crisis» el trabajo articula tres momentos. En primer lugar, afirmamos que la situación contemporánea de la política puede ser caracterizada desde la noción de «contingencia». En segundo lugar, a partir de los presupuestos señalados, presentamos la especificidad de la modernidad política en la noción de «forma». En tercer lugar, señalamos, por un lado, que existe un reconocimiento de la irreductibilidad de la política como economía de la violencia y, por otro lado, que existe un resurgimiento del problema de la justicia.

This paper seeks to analyze some of the problems where contemporary political thought is being confronted. By contextualizing the terms return and crisis, this paper articulates three moments. First, it is claimed that the contemporary notion of politics can be characterized by the notion of the contingency. Second, from the previous assumptions, the specificity of political modernity is presented in the notion of form. Third, we point out simultaneously the point of view which acknowledges the irreducibility of politics as economy of violence and the reemergence of the problem of justice.
