Comercio, labor y cambio social: La dinámica del conflicto según los contextos históricos de Aristóteles y Hobbes

Abstract

En el trabajo se busca hacer hincapié en la contraposición de Hobbes y de Aristóteles con respecto a dos temas de su tiempo. Por un lado, el rol desempeñado por la expansión comercial, como por otro, cuál consideraban que era el rol del trabajo en sus respectivas sociedades. De esta manera, a partir de ambos temas, se buscará defender la siguiente hipótesis de contraposición entre nuestros filósofos. Una en la cual ambos coincidieran en que las raigambres tradicionales de sus sociedades estaban siendo carcomidas desde sus cimientos por la expansión comercial y otorgando disimiles valoraciones a ello,concibiendo al trabajo, la producción, las tareas manuales una función diametralmente opuesta.

This writing seeks to emphasize the contrast between Hobbes and Aristotle with respect to two topics of his time. On the one hand, the role played by the commercial expansion, as on the other, what they considered was the role of labor in their respective societies. In this way, from both topics, we will seek to defend the following hypothesis of opposition between our philosophers. One in which both agreed that the traditional roots of their societies were being eaten away from their foundations by the commercial expansion and giving dissimilar valuations to it, conceiving labor, production manual tasks a diametrically opposed function.
