Artes visuales en un festival teatral internacional de 1984. Una ciudad conmovida entre la última dictadura y el retorno democrático: Córdoba, Argentina

Abstract

En este artículo analizaremos a un conjunto de artes visuales que acompañaron al Festival Latinoamericano de Teatro realizado en la ciudad de Córdoba en 1984. Comprobaremos que esas acciones fueron coordinadas por la Agrupación para el Desarrollo de Experiencias Visuales y contaron con patrocinios oficiales y privados. Allí confluyeron más de una treintena de artistas jóvenes y mayores, obras interpelantes y público multitudinario. La hipótesis principal sostiene que esas prácticas fueron producto y productoras de una coyuntura de discontinuidades y redes entre duplas inestables que conmovían a Córdoba (y Argentina): dictadura y democracia, duelo y alegría, ausencias y presencias, campos artísticos y contexto socio-político, teatro y plástica, calle y museo, localismo e internacionalismo, tradiciones y disrupciones. Desde un enfoque transdisciplinar de Historia Cultural estudiaremos a esas prácticas que transformaron espacios, objetos y sujetos. La investigación se sustenta en el relevamiento y la triangulación de fuentes históricas escritas, visuales y orales.

This article explores a set of visual arts works exhibited in the Latin American Theater Festival held in the city of Córdoba in 1984. We will verify that these artworks were coordinated by the Association for the Development of Visual Experiences counting on official and private sponsorship. There converged more than thirty artists of different ages, claimant artworks and a huge audience. The main hypothesis holds that this scenario was the product and the producer of a situation of discontinuities and networks between unstable pairs that touched Córdoba (and Argentina): dictatorship and democracy, grief and joy, absences and presences, artistic fields and context, theater and fine arts, street and museum, localism and internationalism, traditions and disruptions. Through a transdisciplinary approach of Cultural History we will analyze those practices that changed spaces, objects and subjects. This research is based on the survey and triangulation of written, visual and oral historical sources.
