Omnes, singulatim y otra vez omnes: Sobre la cuestión de la voluntad y su inteligibilidad estratégica en Michel Foucault

Abstract

Estudios exegéticos de los últimos años coinciden en retomar las contra-conductas para pensar la articulación del gobierno y la ética en los planteos de Michel Foucault entre fines de la década del setenta y principios de los ochenta. Enmarcándonos en esta línea, nos proponemos reconstruir el entendimiento estratégico que el pensador francés esboza de la voluntad como una clave para: 1. repensar las relaciones entre sujeción y subjetivación desde la "obligación de verdad"; 2. clarificar que la relación reflexiva consigo mismo no constituye un reducto aislado de las relaciones de gobierno, y 3. considerar la recreación del lazo omnes et singulatim a partir de la idea de "espiritualidad política" que Foucault vincula con la emergencia de una voluntad colectiva. A través de estos puntos, intentaremos exponer cómo las prácticas de libertad involucran operaciones complejas de aceptación y rechazo que las hacen contra-estratégicas más que anti-estratégicas frente al gobierno.

Exegetical studies concur in reprising counter-conducts to think the link of the government with ethics in Michel Foucault´s works between the late seventies and the early eighties. In this frame, we propose to reconstruct the strategic understanding of the will suggested by the french thinker as a key to: 1. reconsider the relations between subjection and subjectivation from the “obligation of truth”; 2. clarify that the reflexive relationship of the self is not an isolated space with respect to the relations of government, and 3. contemplate the recreation of the omnes et singulatim bond from the idea of “political spirituality” that Foucault connects with the emergence of a collective will. Throughout these points, our aim is to expose how the practices of freedom involve complex operations of acceptance and rejection which constitute them as counter-strategic more than anti-strategic in the face of the government
