Jornadas culturales del Valle Calchaquí: Reconstrucción de una experiencia en el ámbito cultural de los “Cerros Altos”

Abstract

La última dictadura cívico-militar significó el cierre y el silenciamiento de muchas actividades culturales que se desarrollaban en la provincia de Tucumán (Argentina). Sin embargo, dentro del ambiente de omnipresente censura existieron espacios que atravesaron ese período y continuaron en democracia. Tal es el caso de las Jornadas Culturales del Valle Calchaquí (JCVC), organizadas por el Centro de Estudios Regionales (CER) y la Peña Cultural “El Cardón” entre 1981 y 1999. Dicho Centro fue fundado por un grupo de intelectuales de la región destacándose la figura del filósofo y teólogo Gaspar Risco Fernández. En lo que sigue realizaremos una reconstrucción de esta experiencia atendiendo al contexto histórico, a la presencia de cambios y continuidades perceptibles en su desarrollo y a su integración dentro del conjunto de actividades del CER. Nuestra hipótesis es que esta institución se constituyó en el núcleo integrador de una gran cantidad de actividades que pretendían conocer y comprender la región, y que entre ellas, las Jornadas se convirtieron en un espacio de fertilidad y proyección de nuevas propuestas con idéntico objetivo pero incorporando como plus el cambio de locus enunciativo. Todo ello es además una muestra de las ideas que el mismo Risco Fernández venía desarrollando desde otros espacios culturales.

The last civic-military dictatorship meant the closure and the silencing of many cultural activities that were taking place in the province of Tucumán (Argentina). However, in a situation of permanent censorship, there were spaces that passed through that period and continued in democracy. Such is the case of the Cultural Meetings of the Calchaquí Valley, organized by the Center for Regional Studies (CER) and the Cultural Center "El Cardón" between 1981 and 1999. This Center was founded by a group of intellectuals from the region, standing out the philosopher and theologian Gaspar Risco Fernàndez. We will carry out a reconstruction of this experience, taking into account the historical context, the presence of changes and continuities in its development and its integration into CER's activities. Our hypothesis is that this institution became the nucleus of a large number of activities that sought to know and understand the region. Among those activities, the Meetings became a fertile space of projection of new proposals, with similar objectives, but incorporating the change of the enunciative locus as a plus. All this is also a sample of the ideas that Risco Fernández himself had been developing from other cultural spaces.
