Visualidad y daño: notas sobre naturaleza y medioambiente en el arte argentino

Abstract

En este artículo se parte de la articulación entre arte-medioambiente, específicamente de una serie de propuestas visuales argentinas. El fin es asociarlas según relaciones o motivos persistentes: el señalamiento del daño a la naturaleza por parte del ser humano. A partir de cinco casos, que, por supuesto no revisten exhaustividad, proponemos dar cuenta de diversas propuestas artístico-visuales que tematizaron problemáticas ambientales vinculadas al agua y al fuego. La selección está formada por una variedad de lenguajes estéticos: performances, arte-activismo, pintura, tapiz. Se desarrollan algunas referencias sobre el tema y se analiza el corpus y, por último, se establece una serie de conclusiones para pensar la lucha contra la precarización de la existencia desde el arte.

This article starts with the articulation between art and environment, specifically from a set of argentine visual art proposals. The purpose is to associate them according to the damage by humans to nature as a motiv. Five cases will be analyzed, which of course, are not exhaustive; our proposal is to account environmental problems linked to the elements of water and fire. The selection is made up of a variety of aesthetic languages: performances, art-activism, painting, tapestry. Some references on the subject are developed and analyzed in the corpus propossed. Finally, a series of conclusions are established to think about the fight against the precariousness of existence from the art point of view.
