¿Que entiende Feyerabend por Metafísica?

Abstract

La pregunta que dicta el título no es menor. Pues entender las distintas concepciones de metafísica a las que accede Feyerabend permite dilucidar una de las claves que explica la continuidad y coherencia lógica de su obra. Entre los estudios críticos que existen en torno a la obra de Paul Feyerabend predominan aquellos que subrayan una discontinuidad radical entre la versión temprana y tardía de su pensamiento. Todo ello contribuye a que dispongamos de una visión fragmentada e incompleta de un pensador que evoluciono hasta el 1994, año de su fallecimiento. Nuestro propósito es presentar, a través de las confrontaciones que Feyerabend mantiene con sus interlocutores, las distintas connotaciones y roles que adquiere la metafísica respecto a la ciencia. Nos preocuparemos por entender las razones por las cuales nuestro filósofo de la ciencia va trasladando sus distintos focos de discusión o crítica a través de sus distintos abordajes del problema acerca de la relación ciencia-metafísica; de modo tal que quede patente la unidad o sentido que existe en su revisión crítica de la racionalidad científica.

The question dictated by the title is not minor. Because if we understand the Feyerabend´s conceptions of metaphysics we can elucidate the key that explains the continuity and logical coherence of his work. Among the critical studies that exist around Paul Feyerabend’s work there prevail those that underline a radical discontinuity between early and late version of his thought. All this contributes that we have a fragmented and incomplete view of a thinker who evolved until 1994, year of his death. Our intention is to present, across the confrontations that Feyerabend supports with his speakers, the different connotations and roles that the metaphysics acquire with regard to the science. We will worry for understanding the reasons for which our philosopher of the science move his different areas of discussion or critique through their different approaches to the problem of the relationship metaphysical science; so that remains clear the unit or sense that exists in his critical review of the scientific rationality.
