Nuevas formas de integración regional a partir de derechos: Una experiencia en curso

Abstract

El artículo analiza el mecanismo recientemente conformado para monitorear el cumplimiento del Protocolo Adicional de la Convención Americana de Derechos Humanos en materia de derechos Económicos, Sociales y Culturales (DESC) desde una perspectiva de medición de derechos. Para ello se examinan los indicadores de progreso que se han diseñado para la elaboración de los informes de países, como también se presentan escenarios posibles del impacto que este mecanismo puede tener en términos de desarrollo e integración para América Latina.

This article analyses the new mechanism of monitoring the fulfilment of the Aditional Protocol to the American Convention on Human Rights in the Area of Economic, Social and Cultural Rights (ESCR) from a human right perspective. Applying to the methodological approach of rights the article analyses the progress indicators that were designed for the elaboration of the reports in the different countries, as well as the appearing of possible scenarios as a consequence of the impact of this new mechanism in terms of development and integration in Latin America.
