El colectivo travesti-trans como objeto de representación y la influencia de las minorías activas sobre las representaciones sociales de género

Abstract

El presente artículo propone al colectivo travesti–trans* como un objeto de Representación Social. Se ubican los elementos nucleares y periféricos, así como el núcleo figurativo y anclaje. Se realiza un rastreo bibliográfico para establecer la objetivación sobre la conceptualización sexo-género, basada en un sistema sexual binario, poniendo el acento en la heteronormatividad y cisexualidad. Es decir que se homologan género, sexo y deseo, tomando las categorías de lo “masculino” y lo “femenino” como “naturales”. Esto produce la invisibilización de la dimensionalidad de la sexualidad humana con efectos nefastos para esta población, los cuales se materializan en la pérdida de derechos y en la reducción de la vida promedio del colectivo a 35 años. Finalmente se relaciona el debate mediático sobre el lenguaje inclusivo en los medios masivos de comunicación argentinos en 2018 con la difusión como modalidad de comunicación. Y se lo identifica como un indicador de un proceso de apoyo social que incluye a las disidencias sexuales como parte de la población general, apuntalando la lucha del colectivo travesti-trans* como una minoría activa.

The transvestite-trans* collective is proposed as an object of Social Representation. It is concluded that this is feasible since the concept generates socio-cognitive conflict and call in question identity, since gender organizing principles are based on a binary sexual system and the sole existence of this group questions it. Likewise, it generates social controversy, as the political struggle has progressively obtained greater visibility and sanctions of specific laws. Subsequently, objectification is identified simplification of scientific theories that deal with the issue of gender throughout history and the elements of the nuclear and peripheral systems are established, finding the iconography of the bathrooms as a figurative nucleus and other gender identities of the sex-generic system, such as transvestite-trans*, as peripheral elements. It is likely that the transvestite-trans * collective has influenced the social change of social representations (SR) as an active minority. This minority influence was achieve with the dissemination of the discussion about inclusive language that occurred in mid-2018 in Argentine from its use by students in an argentinian TV show. This diffusion that took place in many mass media allowed the admission of the transvestite-trans * population as one more participant in social life.
