Los conceptos de innovación y fuerzas productivas en Marx: Naturaleza y alcance de la “objeción anti-metafísica” de Schumpeter

Abstract

El concepto de innovación ha sufrido grandes transformaciones en la transición acaecida entre Marx y Schumpeter. En efecto, el horizonte de análisis de Marx apunta explicar no solamente la dinámica de las innovaciones en el capitalismo, sino también el desarrollo de las fuerzas productivas con prescindencia de sus especificidades históricas. Schumpeter rechaza este tipo de proyectos que se proponían alcanzar leyes vinculadas a la comprensión del “sentido de la historia”. El presente trabajo indaga en esta transición entre Marx y Schumpeter a partir del seguimiento del concepto de innovación (y el de desarrollo de las fuerzas productivas). Para ello: i) apuntamos a reconstruir el pensamiento marxiano en este campo; ii) recapitulamos la forma en que Schumpeter detecta y rechaza su carácter metafísico; y iii) nos adentramos en la discusión acerca del rol que juega la metafísica en el desarrollo conceptual de la Ciencia Económica.

The concept of innovation has undergone great transformations in the transition between Marx and Schumpeter. Indeed, Marx's horizon of analysis aims to explain not only the dynamics of innovations in capitalism, but also the development of the productive forces regardless of their historical epoch. Schumpeter rejects this type of project that was intended to achieve general laws linked to the understanding of "the meaning of history". The present work investigates in this transition between Marx and Schumpeter following the concept of innovation (and the concept of development of the productive forces). To do this: i) we aim to reconstruct Marxian thought in this field; ii) we recapitulate the way in which Schumpeter detects and rejects its metaphysical character; and iii) we reach the discussion about the role of metaphysics in the conceptual development of Economic Science.
