La investigación en vivienda y hábitat: El Instituto de Investigación en Vivienda y hábitat (INVIHAB) como espacio de formación en investigación, transferencia y docencia

Abstract

El artículo presenta el Instituto de Investigación de Vivienda y Hábitat, reseñando la trayectoria institucional, las actividades actualmente en desarrollo, la misión y los objetivos del centro. Caracteriza un espacio de trabajo interdisciplinario donde realizamos tareas de investigación, docencia y extensión, orientadas al abordaje de la problemática de la vivienda y el hábitat humano. Desde un enfoque interdisciplinario, se integran diferentes dimensiones de análisis y se estudian los procesos de producción habitacional – urbana para aportar conocimientos que alimenten la actuación política y de gestión referida a estas temáticas. Presenta el objeto de estudio y amplía el foco del tema vivienda extrapolándolo a otros fenómenos con fines analíticos. Se incorporan aspectos como la diversidad de los sujetos sociales que se expresa en un determinado hábitat, la sostenibilidad ambiental del territorio, o la participación en procesos organizativos de producción popular de la urbanización Se define hábitat humano y los campos de conocimiento convergentes al mismo y se presentan las líneas de investigación en curso, desde las complejidades y vinculaciones con los temas críticos emergentes, las transformaciones y condiciones presentes en la ciudad de Córdoba, su Área Metropolitana y otros aglomerados en la Provincia de Córdoba. Finalmente, se menciona el rol central de la investigación en la explicación de los fenómenos y proposición de soluciones creativas para dar respuesta a las problemáticas emergentes.

The article presents the Housing and Habitat Research Institute, reviewing the institutional trajectory, the activities currently under development, the mission and the objectives of the center. It characterizes an interdisciplinary work space where we carry out research, teaching and extension tasks, aimed at addressing the problems of housing and the human habitat. From an interdisciplinary approach, different dimensions of analysis are integrated and the housing-urban production processes are studied to provide knowledge that feeds political and management action related to these issues. It presents the object of study and broadens the focus of the housing theme, extrapolating it to other phenomena for analytical purposes. Aspects such as the diversity of social subjects that are expressed in the city space, the environmental sustainability of the territory, or participation in organizational processes of popular production of urbanization are incorporated. Human habitat and the fields of knowledge convergent to it are defined and the current research lines are presented, from the complexities and links with emerging critical issues, the transformations and conditions present in the city of Córdoba, its Metropolitan Area and other agglomerates in the Province of Córdoba. Finally, the central role of research in explaining phenomena and proposing creative solutions to respond to emerging problems is mentioned.
