Pasión por la literatura: 45 años de Hispamérica

Abstract

El artículo indaga en una forma inicial que justifica un futuro logrado. De ahí que escojamos analizar el primer número de la revista para ver qué está desde el principio, qué permanece y también cuáles son los cambios. Con algunas variantes, las secciones muestran una concepción de la literatura que persiste. Roxana Patiño en un artículo reciente afirma que Hispamérica se mueve entre la revista académica y la revista cultural (Patiño 2018). Quizás se deba a la construcción de un entrelugar entre dos tipos de discursos –uno más atento a jergas específicas y, por consiguiente, más fechado; el otro, menos marcado– lo que ha asegurado la saludable y digna supervivencia de la revista.

This article explores a beginning that justifies a future achievement [pointed to its chievements]. Hence, we chose to analyze the first issue of the journal to see what has remained constant and which changes have been introduced along its life. With some variants, the sections show a persistent conception of literature. In a recent article, Roxana Patiño stated that Hispamérica moves between two modalities: the academic journal and the cultural magazine (Patiño 2018). Perhaps it is due to the construction of a place in between these two types of discourse –one more attentive to specific critical language, and therefore more dated, and another, less fixated– which has ensured the healthy and dignified survival of the journal.
