La categoría de cuerpo en la Ética de Baruch Spinoza: Interpretaciones metafísicas y éticas

Abstract

El presente artículo tiene como propósito fundamentar la categoría de cuerpo en la obra Ética de Baruch Spinoza, confrontando dicho texto desde las consideraciones metafísicas y éticas que la sustentan, como también la introducción de las interpretaciones de Tatian y Deleuze sobre la noción del cuerpo y su relación con la ética. Para ello se delimitará un aspecto biográfico-político que contextualice la elaboración de dicho texto y la importancia de la crítica de Spinoza a las religiones, para luego partir a una doble entrada a la categoría de cuerpo presente en la Ética. La primera de ellas será la correspondiente a la metafísica basada en el monismo ontológico, mientras que la segunda versará sobre el aspecto ético, el de las afecciones, lo que permite transitar dichas categorías a la pregunta: ¿qué puede un cuerpo?.

The purpose of this article is to base the category of body in the work Ethics of Baruch Spinoza, confronting this text from the metaphysical and ethical considerations that sustain it, as well as the introduction of Tatian and Deleuze’s interpretations on the notion of the body and its relationship with ethics. To this end, a biographical-political aspect that contextualizes the elaboration of this text and the importance of Spinoza’s critique of religions will be delimited, and then a double entry to the category of present body in Ethics. The first of these will be the one corresponding to metaphysics based on ontological monism, while the second will deal with the ethical aspect, that of the affections, which allows these categories to be transposed to the question of what can a body?.
