Universidad y ethos nacional: La Reforma universitaria de 1918 en el pensamiento de Carlos Astrada

Abstract

En el presente trabajo se intentará analizar los diversos modos en que el filósofo argentino Carlos Astrada (1894-1970) caracterizó el proceso de la Reforma universitaria nacido en su provincia natal de Córdoba y proyectado al resto del continente, buscando apuntar el vínculo interno que tales consideraciones guardan con el resto de su pensamiento, poniendo énfasis en su dimensión ético-política. Se espera con ello mostrar, no solo la importancia que el proceso reformista tuvo en la gestación de su filosofía sino también el lugar destacado que en ella ocupa la Universidad en su relación con el cuerpo de lo social, en tanto entidad formativa capaz de plasmar un ideal o conceder plena vigencia al ethos que permita el despliegue de una convivencia adecuada para nuestro pueblo en tanto particularidad histórica que accede a la universalidad de la humanidad.

This work intends to analyze the different manners in which Argentine philosopher Carlos Astrada (1894-1970) characterized the process of university reform born in his native province of Córdoba and projected to the rest of the continent, seeking to point out the relation that such considerations keep with the rest of his thought, placing special emphasis in its ethical-political dimension. It is hoped that this will not only illustrate the importance of the reformist process in the gestation of his philosophy but also the prominent place that the University occupies in its relationship with the body of social, as a formative institution able of capturing an ideal or ethos that allows the unfolding of an adequate coexistence for our people as a historical particularity that gains access to the universality of humanity.
