La “significación abierta” de las instituciones

Abstract

El artículo examina el equilibrio de una serie de fuerzas opuestas en la esfera de las instituciones públicas que han sido analizadas en la fenomenología en el contexto de la historia colectiva. Comienza con una referencia al contraste entre i) mala y buena ambigüedad (Merleau-Ponty) a fin de complementarla con ulteriores oposiciones en-tre ii) el plano horizontal y el plano vertical en la estructura ortogonal de la política (Ricoeur), iii) el intercambio de entes y el sacrificio auténtico (Patočka) y iv) abs-tracciones económicas y la vida (Henry). Como conclusión, el análisis de una expe-riencia histórica muestra una contradicción entre v) ideales y realización deficiente. Los contrastes ayudan a entender la filosofía interrogativa de la historia defendida por Merleau-Ponty en vista de un proceso de efectuación en que se ha de hacer frente a situaciones difíciles.

This article examines the equilibrium among a series of opposing forces in the sphe-re of public institutions that have been analyzed in phenomenology in the context of collective history. It begins with a reference to the contrast between: (i) bad and good ambiguity (Merleau-Ponty), which we complement with additional oppositions between, (ii) the horizontal and vertical planes in the orthogonal structure of politics (Ricoeur); (iii) the interchanging of beings and authentic sacrifice (Patočka); and (iv) economic abstractionsand life (Henry). Our conclusion is that the analysis of a his-torical experience shows a contradiction between, (v) ideals and deficient realization; contrasts that will help us understand the interrogative philosophy of history advan-ced by Merleau-Ponty in light of a process of acting when difficult situations must be dealt with.
