Comprensión de conversación: Aportes de los estudios acerca del establecimiento de conexiones entre enunciados y estudios acerca de la formación de memorias grupales

Abstract

El objetivo de este trabajo es realizar un recorrido por una selección de estudios que han examinado el rol del establecimiento de conexiones entre enunciados y estudios acerca de la formación de memorias grupales durante la comprensión de conversación. Con este fin, se introducirán una serie de investigaciones que se han enfocado en el rol del establecimiento de conexiones causales o de causa-efecto entre enunciados y el rol de la presencia de marcadores del discurso en la construcción de una representación coherente del discurso hablado espontáneo. A continuación, se presentarán una serie de estudios que se han enfocado en la importancia del rol conversacional (narrador-no narrador), la confiabilidad del hablante (confiable-no confiable) y el conocimiento previo del participante (disponible-no disponible) en la formación de memorias durante interacciones grupales. Luego de esto, se presentarán una serie de estudios preliminares que han examinado el interjuego entre estas variables. Este recorrido nos permitirá destacar las contribuciones que ambos grupos de investigaciones han realizado al estudio dela comprensión de conversación, sugerir posibles aplicaciones de sus conclusiones para el ámbito educativo, y señalar futuras direcciones.

The aim of this paper was to present a selection of studies that have examined the role of the establishment of discourse connections among statements and the formation of group memories during the comprehension of conversation. With this aim, we will first introduce studies that have focused on the establishment of causal connections or cause-effect connections among statements and the role of the presence of discourse markers in the construction of a coherent representation of spontaneous spoken discourse. Next, we will describe studies that have examined the importance of the conversational role (narrator-non narrator), the trustworthiness of the speaker (trustworthy-untrustworthy) and the prior knowledge of the comprehender (available-unavailable) in the formation of shared memories during group interactions. Finally, we will present preliminary studies that have examined the interplay among these variables. The presentation of these studies will allow us to highlight the contributions that both lines of research have made to the study of the comprehension of conversation, suggest applications of their conclusions to the delivery of lectures, and propose future directions.
