Resumen
The capacity of plants to survive depends on their ability to sense and respond to the light environment. Besides serving as an energy source driving photosynthesis, light is also an external indicator of proximity with competitors, seasonality, and positional cues. Thus, it is not surprising that plants evolved sophisticated mechanisms to perceive subtle variations in light conditions (Chen et al., 2004).
