Filosofía, poesía y política en Carlos Astrada: Notas para una lectura de la noción de "mito" en "El mito gaucho" (1948)

Abstract

El mito gaucho (1948) es considerado uno de los libros más importantes y representativos de Carlos Astrada. Leído a menudo enfatizando el contexto histórico-político de su publicación —la Argentina justicialista, movimiento político al que Astrada prestó su adhesión—, el propósito del presente trabajo es ofrecer una mirada que priorice el aspecto filosófico del texto. Para ello, se analizan los distintos alcances de la noción de mito, buscando establecer las relaciones entre filosofía, poesía y política en la obra citada. Se destaca la influencia de la tradición romántica alemana — entendida en sentido amplio, de Herder a Nietzsche—, como así también de Heidegger, valiéndose de la interpretación propuesta por Philippe Lacoue-Labarthe, que subraya la cuestión del mito. La parte final del trabajo está dedicada a poner de relieve las tensiones contenidas en la noción de mito astradiana.

El mito gaucho (1948) is considered one of the most important and representative books of Carlos Astrada. Often read emphasizing the historical-political context of its publication —the justicialist Argentina, political movement to which Astrada lent its adhesion—, the main purpose of this paper is to priorize its philosophical aspect. For this, it analyzes the different reachs of the notion of myth, seeking to establish the relationships between philosophy, poetry and politics in the cited work. It highlights the influence of the German romantic tradition —broadly understood, from Herder to Nietzsche—, as well as from Heidegger, retaking the interpretation proposed by Philippe Lacoue-Labarthe, who underlines the question of myth. The final part of the paper is dedicated to highlight the tensions contained in the notion of myth in Astrada’s book.
