Entre la movilización y la negociación: FAA y UATRE frente al agronegocio (Córdoba, fines del siglo XX)

Abstract

La configuración del agronegocio no estuvo exenta de conflictos que estructuraron formas de organización y demandas frente al avance y consolidación del nuevo paradigma productivo. El objetivo del presente artículo es historizar cómo emergió la conflictividad en el mundo rural y de qué manera la misma fue procesada y canalizada por las organizaciones de trabajadores rurales. Procuraremos observar estas cuestiones desde un análisis de los momentos de conflicto en el mundo rural pampeano de la provincia de Córdoba. Focalizaremos en las estrategias adoptadas por dos actores específicos del mundo del trabajo rural: las filiales de Federación Agraria Argentina y la Unión Argentina de Trabajadores Rurales y Estibadores. El supuesto que guía nuestro análisis es que, partiendo de reclamos vinculados a los procesos de trabajo, el conjunto de estrategias adoptadas por cada sector fue divergente y se vinculó a sus demandas particulares. Con este fin, pondremos en diálogo los aportes analíticos de la Historia social del trabajo y las herramientas de la teoría de la acción colectiva con un amplio abanico de fuentes cuantitativas y cualitativas.

The configuration of agribusiness was not exempt from conflicts that structured forms of organization and demands in the face of the advancement and consolidation of the new productive paradigm. The aim of this article is to historicize how conflict emerged in the rural world and how it was processed and channeled by rural workers' organizations. We will try to look at these issues on a sub-national scale. More specifically, from an analysis of the moments of conflict in the rural world of the province of Córdoba during the 1990s. We will focus on the actions of two specific actors in the world of rural work: the Federación Agraria Argentina and the Unión Argentina de Trabajadores Rurales y Estibadores. The assumption that guides our analysis is that the set of strategies adopted by each sector was divergent and was linked to their particular demands based on claims related to work processes. To this end, we will put into dialogue the analytical contributions of History, social work and the tools of collective action theory with a wide range of quantitative and qualitative sources.
