Experiencia y finitud: Un abordaje fenomenológico en mujeres que transitan cáncer de mama en el Área Metropolitana de Buenos Aires (Argentina)

Abstract

El objetivo de este artículo es repensar la conciencia de finitud que arroja la experiencia del cáncer de mama en mujeres que han sido diagnosticadas. Desde una perspectiva fenomenológica, se asume el quiebre biográfico que significa para la vida de las mujeres este tránsito por la enfermedad y el esfuerzo constitutivo de narrar(se) y comprenderla en una globalidad biográfica. A partir de un abordaje cualitativo, sostenido a partir de entrevistas a mujeres que transitaron cáncer de mama en el período 2012-2016, en el Área Metropolitana de Buenos Aires (AMBA), se indaga acerca de la pregunta por la muerte y la finitud humana. Para ello, se parte de una primera distinción en el tratamiento discursivo del cáncer. Ante una perspectiva denominada fatídica, anclada al dato, se propone una mirada de índole fenomenal que recupera al sujeto percipiente y el lugar de la finitud.

The objective of this article is to rethink the awareness of finitude triggered by the experience of breast cancer in diagnosed women. From a phenomenological perspective, the text addresses the biographical breakdown provoked by the disease and the woman´s constitutive efforts to narrate(herself) and understand it in a biographical globality. Based on a qualitative approach, on interviews with women who went through breast cancer in the period 2012-2016, in the Metropolitan Area of Buenos Aires (AMBA), the research addresses the questions of death and human finitude. It departs from a first distinction in the discursive treatment of cancer. Then, in a perspective we call fateful, anchored to the data, it proposes a phenomenal look, recovering the percipient subject and the concept of finitude.
