Las prácticas políticas del Centro de Veteranos de Guerra Malvinas Argentinas de Neuquén (1997-2006): Asociacionismo, cultura/s política/s y posguerra

Abstract

El trabajo busca pensar el rol de las agrupaciones de ex-combatientes de la guerra de Malvinas en las formas de transitar la posguerra por parte de los protagonistas del conflicto a partir de un estudio en clave local: la historia del Centro de Veteranos de Guerra “Malvinas Argentinas” de Neuquén. Parte de la premisa que las diferentes formas en que los combatientes se reintegraron socialmente han dependido del contexto político de su inserción, de las culturas políticas locales, y de su posibilidad de significarlas e insertarse en ellas. En tanto en términos generales puede afirmarse que el espacio político neuquino ha estado conformado por dos culturas políticas antagónicas –la cultura oficial y la “contracultura de la protesta” -, en el artículo propongo un primer avance para identificar y explicar a qué cultura se acercó –y tal vez integró- el Centro de Veteranos de Guerra “Malvinas Argentinas”, con qué actores dialogó, negoció, y/o confrontó dicha entidad desde su fundación en 1997 hasta el 2006 (año clave por la concreción de proyectos que implicaban reconocimientos simbólicos y materiales largamente reclamados). El análisis se basa en testimonios de sus integrantes, en prensa periódica local y en legislación provincial referente a veteranos de guerra.

The paper seeks to think about the role of associations of Malvinas war’ ex combatants in the post-war forms of transit by the protagonists of the conflict based on a study in a local key: the history of the War Veterans Center “Malvinas Argentinas” of Neuquén. It starts from the premise that the different ways in which the combatants were socially reintegrated has depended on the political context of their insertion, on local political cultures, and on their possibility of meaning and inserting themselves in them. While in general terms it can affirm that Neuquén's political space has been made up of two antagonistic political cultures –the official culture and the “counterculture of protest”, in the article I propose a first advance to identify and explain what culture the War Veterans Center "Malvinas Argentinas" approached - and perhaps integrated -, with which actors this entity dialogued, negotiated, and/or confronted from its foundation in 1997 to 2006 (a key year due to the realization of projects that involved long-claimed symbolic and material acknowledgments).
