Derechos Humanos e Izquierdas en Argentina: Entre la revolución y el paradigma humanista

Abstract

La política del kirchnerismo en materia de memoria y justicia ha avivado voces de impugnación hacia el movimiento de derechos humanos. Esta impugnación apunta, por un lado, al relato consagratorio de la experiencia setentista que parece haberse impuesto en el espacio público y, por otro, a una postulada cooptación del movimiento de derechos humanos por parte de la izquierda. Partiendo de allí, el presente trabajo se propone pensar los vínculos históricos entre derechos humanos e izquierdas tanto a partir de la tensión irresuelta entre la tradición revolucionaria y la humanista como del aporte predominante de la militancia revolucionaria, especialmente la de la década del ‘70, a la conformación del movimiento de derechos humanos en Argentina.

Kirchnerist policy on memory and justice has stirred up critical voices to the human rights movement. This rejection points, on the one hand, to the consecrating narrative of the seventies experience that seems to have been imposed in the public space and, on the other, to a postulated co-optation of the human rights movement by the left. This article proposes to think about the historical links between human rights and the left, both from the unresolved tension between the revolutionary and the humanist tradition and from the predominant contribution of the revolutionary militancy, especially that of the 70s, to the conformation of the human rights movement in Argentina.
